So I mean if the bike is jetted at stock settings does this mean I have to jet it now?

Stock is probably 70* at sea level...
Stock is typically lean out of the box.

But you have to actually ride it and find out if the jetting is correct first. -BIG DAN

one thing no one brought is "how long the bike has been sitting since the last time you ran it?"...it may be that the pilot jet is clogged and that is why it wont run unless idle is cracked open.

Exactly what I was thinking, pretty common happening especially with smaller engines.
