Need help...still

Replaced the cdi motobike was about to start and getting ready to put everything back together and go for a test ride but when I kick the bike and it starts it would stay on for a good 2 secs so I was having to rev to keep the bike from dying ( I even messed around with the idle screw & choke)
Any tips??

What bike is it?
Did it run before the CDI swap?
Have you pulled the carburetor off and cleaned all the jets and passages?
