On KTMTALK one of our local riders posted that the ranger stopped him at the truck loading up and said he couldnt ride his red sticker til Nov2. He is wrong but just so you know if you go up there to take the CARB rules with you.

Sounds like a true asshat ranger. Did the rider get the rangers name? If so please prod them to notify Sierra National Forest. The management over there needs to know that they have a loose cannon driving around harassing riders under the color of authority.

i would tell the ranger to fuck off in a nice way... then if he gave me a ticket id just fight it with proof that you are allowed to ride. Just because they are a ranger does not mean you have to follow some imaginary rule he decides to make up on the spot. People need to learn their rights and put rangers like this in their place... which is UNDER us as we pay their paychecks.
Good tip Mike. I am planning on doing a ride at Miami this coming Sunday. Now that I'm "legal" again. Spent all of today doing the 100 hr service. Wheel bearings, neck bearings, swing arm bearings and shock pivots. Need to replace all of the wheel bearings, none failed but 3 of the 4 are "noisy". Hope to pick them up locally tomorrow. If not, buy them on line and be ready for the weekend. Have new bars coming too. Did a top end about 15 hours ago so I'm set for the second half of the riding season.

Rode 59 miles yesterday. A combo of single track, rocks, roots, 2 track, and some fire roads to connect the trails
Lot's of thunder, lighting and rain up here last night and this morning. Next weekend should be good. Saturday works better as of right now though. Can you change up your days and ride on Saturday?
