125 KX cylinder swap

I have a cylinder on my daughters 02 KX 125, no power valve, or linkage, have the opportunity to get a complete cylinder with everything I'm missing off an 05, I'm pretty sure 98 to 02 was interchangeable and not later years, but havn't confirmed it yet, anyone have a good answer for me?

The bore and stroke are different between the 02 and 05.

Thanks, however do you know if the power valve and linkage is interchangeable?
