Help Please!!!!

Just bought a 97' Honda XR100. Everything is good but still have no spark. Checked the spark plug and cut back a 1/4 inch to new wire. Checked kill switch and still nothing.

check the ground for the coil, etc under the tank

trace the wiring from the stator make sure it has no cuts or breaks, try and inspect the stator wiring at the flywheel for brakes.

Okay. I got a spark but still no life. She wants to crank, you can hear it. Trying to figure out why she won't start.

you are repeating yourself, we know it is the Honda....it didn't have spark and now it does...did you fix anything that made it now have spark??

Just bought a different plug. Haven't done anything else. I've messed with the carburator but out it all back right.

ok now that it has spark you need to be sure it has fuel to the motor. It probly needs to have the carb jets cleaned. Be sure fuel is flowing out of the tank thru the hose too.

It's getting gas. Its getting everything it's suppose to be getting. Just no life. I need help with this.

Clean the carburetor. If it burped... Everything IS working. -BIG DAN

How do you check for compression? Without having a tester.

have you cleaned the jets yet? I can feel if a motor has compression, but it is an experience thing, I cant impart that feel to you, sorry.

Remove the spark plug cap from the plug then place your thumb over it like you would to spray a garden hose. Then have a helper kick the bike over for you extremely hard.
