Look any engine being held together with JB weld is unsafe. Think of it as a grenade waiting to blow. Using JB weld to stop a leak is one thing. But, when it is used to hold it together. Not a good thing. But, it is your decision to make. Most of the members on would probably say the same thing.

its just an oil plug that is jb welded so it wont leak. but the exhaust pops alot! is that normal?
I might be the wrong member to ask. Because I do not like four strokes. But, Going by what you said I personally would run away from it. even if it was a YZ250..
