Personally, im running my 2010 answer gear that i got at the end of last year on clearance

Now before these i was wearing hand-me-downs, so i can't really give any why i like and don't like this. But, i have worn Fox dirtpaws in the past. Loved the first 2 sets, hated the last pair, so i switched to fly. The pant and jersey were on sale and fit so i went with those. Tech 3's i knew were a good name brand and felt the best in the store. Recoils were cheap and the helmet fit good and was cheap.

do you guys really change your gear by new years models?

i get what i can on the cheap and ride it till they are torn to shit. or i get to fat to wear them. I actually lost about 15 lbs and my current pants/shorts are all saggy. i could be part of the crusty crack race team now :rocker:

I don't, I get all my gear on clearance. For example the one I posted above is 2011 gear. I'm currently riding in 09 & 10 gear. :thumb:

Same with helmets, I get last years Bell Moto 8's for $170 (only when a new one is actually needed), compared to the $400 price.

anyhow i dont give a shit what year it is. i like to check the clearance racks for the cheapies. James has the right idea if you are into keeping up with the jones tho.

A new set of gear is always nice, however I don't get it just to look good. Had to get a new set last year as I had one cut off of me. :rant:

My oldest set (2 seasons) is getting pretty beat up so it might be time for a new one for this season.

:thumb: I'm the same way. I'll find a good set, for example Shift Strike or Faction and then get the best looking one that's on clearance. :lol:

Whatever the hell i got on clearance like 2 years ago(I think shift). Buy large! I didn't with the pants though.. now I have new clearance(again I think shift). I have less than a 100 into my jersey and pants(even with 2 pairs):smirk:

let's see, this ought to be interesting.....

I'm wearing a 2007 LTD helmet 2007 Fox boots, 2007 CamelPak, 2010 gloves (brand ??) early 2011 ONE industry jersey, latter 2011 Klim pants, 2011 Fox compression shorts, 2012 SPY gargles replacing my 2005 Oakleys. 2007 Thor chest protector, 2012 Fox knee pads, Socks (brand ??)

WHY???
LTD sid lid - Because I thought it was cool
Fox boots - they're what I could afford at the time and seem to do the job.
Gloves - got them as a gift and feel comfy
Klim pants - tired of old Red/White Fox pants
ONE Ind jersey - Liked the color combo
Fox comp shorts - Because they have padding in all the right places -
Spy goggles - Because the Oakleys Sand models were all FUGLY, the SPY's were black and white.
Thor Chest protector - I needed one, got one as a gift and I like it.
Socks - Because they're yellow ....
Fox knee pads - because my knees feel nekked without em.
Camelpak - because it fit the purpose - changing to a fanny pack (maybe)!
