Maybe more kyaking, hiking, fishing, tennis, golf, beach days, swimming, skating, geocaching, volunteering, cooking more often, home improvement projects I've blown off. Perhaps make some things I always thought would be fun to make like a foutain, lamp, or mobile. And also more quality time with family. You pack a backpack with snacks and beverages and kick back for a couple of hours there. The Hammers are also fun to watch. I really want to see both events. It's free to spectate and you can ride right to it. just an option and all kinds of riding right there as long as were not on the course. On Sunday Hardcore riders could go do an ass kicking torture ride if they wanted to.

So anyhow...it's good to catch up, and I have some catching up to do here.

Happy New Year to you all
Wow! Lots going on around here. So sorry to hear about Rolls and Timo. Seems lately in the last 6 months I too have been feeling a little "off" riding, and overall I have been dumping it and crashing more. I don feel so dialed in like I used to. At Ocotillo over the holiday I was riding tentative. I was feeling kind of paranoid about colliding with people or slamming onto the ground. Perhaps it is because Im getting older, feeling out of shape and riding less dirt compared to a couple of years ago, who knows? All I know is I prefer rides that arnt going to kick my ass to pieces. I prefer just the right amount of challenge, if at all lately. Perhaps in the back of my mind Im thinking I just cant afford to get hurt. I got very lucky over Thanksgiving with a minor headbang and a few fractured ribs. Im still way into riding both dirt and street but, just a little less focused on it like I used to be. Over New Year's I could care less if we rode. I wasnt "feeling it." Whatever you decide Rez, it's all good. Life doesnt have to be all about dirt bikes. I often ask myself what else can I do that gives me as much pleasure but less risk and money? I still havent thought what that is yet but I plan on doing more "other" things overall in 2013. Now that I just made this list, I better get to it! :spin: I still hope to go to the Rez however, I had planned on attending the Hammer event and didnt realize it was THAT weekend. Why dont we ride over to watch the start of the motos and then go park near Chocolate Mt. or whatever ravine that they will climb up to watch. I think it was on a Friday last year, but it sure was some really great spectating. Sitting on the rocks watching the riders come through and just a stones throw from you is great! Happy New Year to you all:cheers:
