RM250 exhaust question

well you learn something new every day. That would explain the one that is on it did not look like the ones I found online. I wounder if that has something to do with why I had a hard time getting it to idle with out stalling out

well shit wish I had know some of this stuff. I would not have done the trade I did to get it if I had know this stuff. well at least I know now

yeah, tell us how much the idle improved. fyi the ones i have tried testing idle about as well with no pipe as they do with one. 125 sized pipes have been played with on bigger engines over the years, and once you get a 250 spinning anywhere close to where a 125 does the pipes start getting pretty similar. i would expect though, that one will make your 250 seem awfully rich from just a little ways into the rpm band, and as was stated, you wont get it into the full power band easily. the height of a confused and mismatched engine in other words.

I think I would do the normal maintenance that I would bet the po left out, starting with inventorying the jets and setting the float before you do much riding. (if the jet sizes are off very much go back to within a size or two of stock and watch the plug readings before you run it hard for long.)
