I run Kalgard 2T oil, and also have been using Lucas 2T oil for a bout a quart now. I like them both. Amsoil makes a good premix as well.

I like ATF for the transmission/clutch, but it's not for everyone.
Any JASO rated engine oil will also perform nicely in a 2T. -BIG DAN:thumb:

ATF in bottom end.It feels better.

Amsoil/lucas for mix. It seems to be the best for what i can get locally.
what do you notice specifically that feels better when using ATF over motor oil? My 05' RM has slightly notchy shifting, and the clutch has always been grabby, I'm gonna try ATF on the next oil change, just curious what you noticed.

Oil won't fix a crappy basket...

I feel the ATF makes it more sticky.More positive.

Oils make it feel squishy,Feels like it fades. Feels like the clutch is slow.

Have you checked your basket and hub?

Those notches are not supposed to be there. That is usually what cause a grabby/notchy feel.

Had it apart at least once a year, for other repairs, looks and acts the same it did new in 05. I know it's a shitty basket, even new. When it goes to fubar status I'll go with a Hinson basket, sorry you Rekluse fans.

What's a good oil you guys recommend for my 02 yz125? I was using maxima in my last bike but it was a 4 smoke

Premix oil or transmission oil?

You won't go wrong with goin to the yammi dealer and getting yamalube premix oil or yamalube 10w40 for the trans.
