Looks like Honda is dropping the XR650L. Sorry to see it go. Guess I’ll hold onto my 2006 a few more years and sell it for $10k.

In the video, the guy talked about a rally model like the 300 Rally, but my guess is they are going to stick with the 450 L. But that’s just an uneducated guess.
Everybody is so focused on “features” like he was talking about fuel mapping with EFI. But, if they did a 650 with EFI, you’d be limited to what they sell you unless you went aftermarket. Honda isn’t going to sell you a programmable EFI. Plus it would be liquid cooled (added weight and expense).
I dunno, it’s like one of the last simplistic motorcycles is going away. Say goodbye to one of the last sub $10k dual purpose bikes.

They didn't bother to change it much over the years. It was just a steady churn of same same same. which was fine with me, if it ain't broke don't try to fix it. Speaking of fixing it, get a XR650L you will never have to fix it

Fresh. When I turned 18 I bought a DR650 and moved to LA to self-learn how to ride my first bike.

to me this is very meh. I guess I just don't get the appeal. If you gave me a plated 650r on the other hand, or an xr4

Love the R but the kick start is a a deal breaker for me on a streeter. Had a XT 600 for a while and it was a shit to start when hot. Yes there are more capable plated bikes. I always wind up taking it places I probably shouldn't. Never lets me down!
