"Dirt and Water" A day of fun with the girls.

This was Tuesday's ride with MxDirtDiva and Sarah. MXD's first real trail riding since her knee surgery. And its been 6 mos. since she has been on the bike. So we took it easy and stayed out of the forest. Racked up about 80 miles. I made this video with my iphone. A little birdy sent me a camera and it arrived yesterday. (thanks little birdy:hug:)so, now I may be able to make better movies and more action oriented stuff. These posey shots are just that, POSEY. But you as you may experience, it is when were off the bikes and take the time to snap away. Setting up shots on the trail is a hassle. I have to get a far ahead, rush to get my glove off and dig my iphone out of my pocket then put it in pic mode and line the shot. I only felt like do that a couple of times. It was very hot out and stopping wasnt so much fun until we hit the creek. My videos are silly and a pretty cheesy/cutesy but it captures moments (most) I hope to remember and look back on later in life.
As of yesterday I now have a real camera thanks to the kindness :hail:of a DBA'er. But heck now I feel under pressure to produce some good stuff. Like real ride videos, not like this cutesy/posey crap

I wish I had better music but it is what I had to choose from. Actually it has kind of grown on me:smirk:

Looks like an awesome time! I had a nap with my feet in the river at Devil's hole! Feels good mid-ride to dunk your head.

great stuff sun... what do you use to do teh slideshow stuff like that? i was trying to add pics and have em moving like that but it just wouldn't come out smooth.

Thank you all!:goofy: Yes Dan, water mid ride when it is hot is the best:thumb: It is so nice to cool your feet off and dunk your head, it re-energizes you for the rest of the ride. We were kind of full and groggy heading to the creek. We had already rode all morning and then had lunch back at camp. We were at the creek from about 2-4pm then rode some more and by then it had cooled off some. Didnt leave till about 7pm and got there at 8am. Travace I have a MacBookPro with an imovie program that came with it. It is SO EASY to use! I figured it out in a night with no instruction. The program is what is moving the still shots. That is why one of them ends on Denises ass:shocked:  Sorry Denise:P "I" didnt do that:naughty: The program is awesome and I am still learning how to use it better. One thing I need to figure out is the audio better. I wanted to bring up the clip volume and lower the music right before they spoke, not 30 seconds before. But it wouldnt allow me mid clip to do it. There is probably a way, I just wasnt able to figure it out and got impatient:smirk:

1) So easy even N'edge and I could figure it out within a month right??? :smashpc:
2) No need to apologize to Denise...

All in all...great RR/Video BTW...nice snake shot! where was the snake charmer??? :smirk:......still recovering?

Great vid Sun! :thumb: Like the tune, goes well! Thanks for putting together ~ good times!! Your theme had some personality, captured the comradery and great scenery... you can make vids for me anytime!! Cool to see that much water in June. You need to get yourself a GoPro.

Almost 6 months off the bike... had been waay too long. Drove 6 hours round trip on 4 hours sleep, worth every minute ~ couldn't have ordered a better day!! Sun knows this area off the back of her hand, she did a great job leading. Was near the 90's, had a good breeze going all day. Aside from putting my gear in a pile of giant red ants on roids... that water was d'bomb!! Thanks again for the great day, good to clock some miles... finally! Roost when I can!! :thumb:

There was a snake charmer, boy did she piss him off (I'll get to that in a second). Earlier in the day, Sun accidentally nailed one on her bike, he went off into the bushes. I'm guessing with some nice knobbies across his back. That bad boy in the vid is on the road out when we were heading home. She not only points to it, she stops her truck ahead of me which was fine, but then the nut gets out of her truck and stood "maybe" 10 ft from it batting her eyes and smilin at him (I think she asked him to smile for the pic :smirk:). Totally pissed this guy off. Then he coiled up and started rattling, then flipped around and bolted like a banshee into the bushes. Didn't realize how fast these guys are, holy cow! Never heard one up close (about 4 ft from my door), thing was loud... a sound you don't forget! Don't think he was too charmed by our Sun. :smirk: It's okay Sun, we still like you! :thumb:

What creeps me out is running over them, not standing near them. I have never heard one so loud before. That one on the road was loud!

It was a GREAT day and I hope we can do it again MXD. The water was a treat indeed. That creek will be dried up to a trickle very soon. Now we need to get you up to the forest. I think you rode really well and are ready for it. Just remember:prof:to pull in the clutch on those hairpin turns:lol: because there are no fences along the cliff trails heading up into the forest:devil: as in make no mistakes:naughty: Just ride slowly and try to stay relaxed in those sections then you will ENJOY it. Oh, and be sure to STOP if you decide to check out the view:lol:

Thanks Buck and Miho and everyone else. Im glad you all liked it. I wasnt going to post it because it is so cheezy. But then I thought who cares, it is what it is...a damn good day with friends on bikes.
