Other CRF70F Hard to shift into first gear.

Good afternoon everyone. First time posting on here. I just bought a 2007 Honda CRF 70F and it’s so hard to shift that my seven-year-old isn’t able to shift it into first. Haven’t done any research yet which is wondering if anyone had any quick tips.

That's strange. Sometimes they get bent or installed incorrectly and binds against the case at some part of the travel.

I concur. Bent shifter or clutch adjustment. I would lean towards bent shifter.
