Boise and beyond

Wassup strange(rs)!
Almost forgot about this place, until I saw Rack showing up elsewhere, hope all is good.
Busy riding here, how about a copy and paste trip report from September '13;

My son lives in Idaho, so every year I load up the bikes and make the drive to Boise and beyond.....
I tried to get some Cali boys to go up there, but you know what they say

It rained good the week before I got there, temps were cooling and the fires were laying down, perfect timing.

Some of the Boise boys met us up there, we took an easy "blue trail" to start with;

what you can't see is the rain rut chock full o' rocks and bikes and bodies steaming.....

An easy lil switchback;

I'm only a couple days into winter down here in central Utah and already miss the mountains. Thanks for posting the pics. That looks like an amazing ride. Oh and thanks for the picture of the map.

25 miles in 5 hours?!

That was quite the trail with the first 5 miles being the hardest....

At this point we had a couple tired riders and a yellowjacket victim who were thinking of home

or at least a place to rest

A few of us still had some gas so we thought we'd ride up this

we cleared 3 or 4 trees off the trail until we gave up, ironwood deadfall isn't easy to cut or break....

I need to get out there to ride asap....

No hurry, it's all snowed in until next summer.

Day 2 started with ice on the seats and hot coffee
