Take a look at the price. At only $4500 there were compromises made. I'm sure that it's not only heavy, the suspension will be sorely lacking as well.

One reason for 250cc dual sports are the smog regs. Bikes smaller than 280cc's can emit more which makes them easier to make.

I gave up on the Japanese manufacturers as far as a "real" dual sport goes.

IMHO thats way to heavy. The CRF230L is only like 260lbs with a full tank. I think Honda took a huge step backwards in that vital category.

The consensus many of us came to elsewhere was that XR250 power with XR650 weight isn't appealing in any bike, cheap or not. What was MSRP on an XR250L in their last year? I know they didn't weight anywhere near that much.
