His plan was to win and simply hope for the best. Hare & Hound in Lucerne Valley.</strong></p><p style="text-align: left"><span style="color: #333333"><span style="font-size: 12px"><span style="font-family: 'Arial'">The title chase came down to a final-race showdown between Caselli and Kawasaki rider David Pearson at the 100's M.C. National Hare & Hound at the Johnson Valley OHV Area in Lucerne Valley, California, October 28. The scenario was simple, Pearson, who had an eight-point lead over Caselli going into the final, need to finish right behind Caselli to wrap up the '12 title. At first, it appeared that Pearson had done exactly that, taking the checkered flag in second place while chasing the winner, Caselli. But a pit-stop infraction earlier in the race cost him five positions, for which he was docked, and the championship, though the race is under appeal and still unofficial. But, as of now, it appears that Caselli has successfully defended his hare and hound title.</span></span></span></p> <p style="text-align: left"><span style="color: #333333"><span style="font-size: 12px"><span style="font-family: 'Arial'">Finishing third in the race was Kawasaki rider Jacob Argubright, followed by Honda-mounted David Kamo, Kawasaki pilot Nick Burson, Yamaha rider Skyler Howes and Pearson.</span></span></span></p></blockquote><p></p>
