RM125 Air filter question...

I bought this bike to weeks ago and last night i decided to take a look at the air filter and wow it was way over due for a new one so i ordered a No Toil Premium Dual Stage Air Filter from motosport.com but my question is doI need to oil it? If I do where do I get the oil from and which kind? thanks for the help in advance.

Unless it is something new from No Toil, you will need to oil it. No Toil sells the oil and cleaner that works well/best with their filters. I have pretty good luck with them.

From my what No Toil says and from when I received one before, it comes pre-oiled. You just need to install. I always check it out first and with me riding in the dusty desert, it could always use a little more.

just so it is clear to you, with no toil, once it is oiled with their oil you must then continue to use their vegetable based oil on it. A regular dino based oil will not mix and work properly. Also a regular solvent will not clean it-you need to use hot water and a soap cleaner...in case you didnt know

OxyClean for the cleaner is the same as the NoToil, and a lot cheaper. Also, if it's extremely dussty, buy their rim grease.
I am not so sure if it is exactly the same as Oxyclean. I thought the same thing and compared the two side by side. Cleaning two filters each one in a separate tub. The NoToil one came cleaner. I washed them the same as I always do. Maybe my mind is messing with me. Does anyone know the ingredients to both Oxi Cleaner and NoToil Cleaner? I will say this they both get very hot. I swear by NoToil I will never use anything else.

Ive seen No toil filters dry out in extreme dust and let the dust get thru...I wont use them again after seeing it on multiple filters on a large ride I was on. In wet conditions or track riding I think they are fine.

I don't have to worry about that because I live nowhere near a desert. What do you recommend for the conditions you described? I will say if I did not use NoToil. I would use Belray liquid not spray on.

I've used NoToil in my bike in the desert in extreme dusty conditions though I can't say I was riding in those dusty conditions. and have not seen an issue. I ran through a whole bottle of the oil and never seen an issue. I have not replaced it yet and I don't have the bike that has the filter in it anymore.

What oil do you currently use in the bikes you ride most often?

Right now I am using uni filter oil. Good stuff. Also a bead of maxima grease around the bead to help with sealing out dust.
