95 RM 250 flywheel

Hows it going guys i posted in November about my 1995 RM250 having a transmission problem and i am down it taking it apart now after the swing arm bolt being seized and giving me lots of trouble i got the motor on the bench clutch, topend, stator cover are off, and the flywheel is looking very odd to me. I looked up the puller and it seems that it will not work on my flywheel. Mine has no holes on it, nor does the center bolt come out but the bolt has threads on the inside. looks to me that the puller would just be a bolt there is no male threads on the flywheel just female. Can anyone give me some insight on this i cannot take a picture right now but if i need to i will tomorrow. every other flywheel looks different than the one i have on my engine. thanks in advance -Kyle

This is the tool that you should need.......is it the same one you don't think should work on your flywheel?

That looks like it will not work at all there is no place for those outer threads to thread onto

judging by that photo of your flywheel, here's a pic of the tool you would need.......

Here is the pic guys im sorry about the delay ive been so busy between work and this crazy snow in Ny but i hope the picture helps i cant really get my head around it i need to get the cases split already

That looks like it will not work at all there is no place for those outer threads to thread onto

Look closely, the threads are very fine, lefthand thread, and usually covered in rust. They are there.
Every flywheel has to have a removal method.

They all look weird with that much rust. they are on the perimeter of the big hole. Ask Floyd.

Alternatively, it looks like there is access to use a gear puller if need be.
They are free to "rent" at the auto parts stores.

after you use that one, you may want to just pickup another flywheel rotor. It is pretty easy to bend a flywheel. if you do decide that is the only way, then heat the center with a heat gun or propane torch, torque to about 100 lbs and then smack the puller bolt with a steel hammer. all this in the name of the flywheel and trying to salvage it. if you get a puller where the center bold is really angled like the one pictured you run the risk of splitting the crankshaft. I have done that twice. one time was when i hit it, and the other time it did it on it's own, and was NOT even a jawed puller. just one with too much taper.
