2 Stroke 250 Silencer on a 125?

I'm wondering if it will work? A '96 CR250 on a '94 CR125 to be exact..
I think it would work, as long as the pipe diameter on the 250 silencer is the same as on the 125 silencer. Anyone have opinions? Or anyone tried it?

Regardless if it fits, the 250 silencer is bigger and you will lose the back pressure needed for the 125 which I believe will cause loss of power.

There are really two separate issues. The first is "will it fit." If it does then you can worry about the effect on engine tuning. Like CDA says it will have an effect. The only question is how much. It may only be a minimal effect, but then again it might not. If you already have it you can always give it a try and see how it goes. If you don't have it, I would pass and get the proper part. No point in laying down cash only to find out later that it doesn't work.

I would go on ebay and get the correct silencer. You can get one on there for $15-$25.

That's my plan, but i was just curious. A lot more 250 silencers on Craigslist and places like that.
