2011 TDay in the Dez

Ok, let me get in here and get my second ride of day 1 Friday "The Sand Hills" I went out with IrishHill, Travace, P841 Jr. Jr., my daughter lets give her a name  soil sampler...you will see why at the end of the sand hills..
Here are two shots of her coming up one of the hills after a sample at the bottom.

Irish Hill is next as the XR400 was giving him kick issues. :smirk:

From this point I said lets get back to camp as it was getting later in the day and the sun was going fast. with all the stops we had going on I got worried that Trav, me and Irish would have to escort the non-lighted bikes back. We hit a wash and started to make our way down. I stopped and turned around to se another dirt sample. This is her impression of "why is my bike so tired? I am the one that is doing all the work".

This is her trying to get it to come up on its own begging for a glove. It didn't work. :smirk:

Next up is my last ride of the weekend with the humiliating ending. :foul: :foul::banghead::banghead:

This is my final group of pictures from this trip.

P841 Jr Jr says, "dad follow me! You have to launch off of this ledge and clear the rocks below!" Well you tell me if Palmer listened to his kid :smirk:

That's Jr Jr picking up the old mans bike

So all of the sudden P841's bike won't start. So he starts taking it apart wrenching this wrenching that. He even goes as far as taking the tank off and the fuel pump out.

He swears this will only take a second. CDA tells him it's probably a fuse. Palmer says I checked the fuses.

still waiting with helmets on :tapping foot ever so patiently:

So Palmer puts it back together and says. Shit it wont start how far to the road? Best I could figure he is pulling a "Rez" on us and he no longer wants any part of the trails we have been riding.

CDA & CDA Jr head to camp to get a truck, Trav and the others bail down the sand wash. And I towed his ass out of the canyon, down the sand wash to the road.

Here we are in the sand wash with me snapping a pic while towing the Palmer and his beloved Husky

Guess what I got on film  I can hear him yelling

Poor bastard

After that I was laughing so damn hard I had to put the camera away and focus on the sand wash. It was smooth sailing once we got out of there. I ended up towing him nearly 15 mies back to camp. Palmer snapped some pics as well I am sure he will post them up later.

I love the 3 sequential shots. I felt myself going down and let go just a second to late. Dam, I am glad you got them entertaining pictures.
:smirk:
I didn't fall in the sand, I fell on the hard pack that was right next to the soft stuff. Man my shoulder hurts....
