Fiddled with the float a little bit and its working just as it should now. And with the routing of the cable it seems to be the most optimal route but i will try another way. Thanks again guys you were a big help!

The manual will show the intended routing.
The float also has an optimal level . Unless it is set close to that optimal level you are going to be giving up what could be a crisp abd ckean running machine. It is more than just a valve to keep the fuel from spilling over.

Your buddy that has rebuilt the motor more than likely can set the correct float height. I'd do it for good measure, then ride the heck out of her!
