250F 2002 CR250R Top end rebuild thread

So my bike was in need of a fresh top end so i ordered the supplies, have never done one before but i thought how hard could it be, so far so easy, here's some pics, i do have a slight problem though....
I started by taking the seat, shrouds, number plates, and tank off

shes lookin a bit dirty, but I can still work with it

when draining the radiator fluid it shot out and went everywhere, and soaked my hoodie..

then i got the radiator hose off, but when trying to get the brackets that hold the cylinder head in place, there locktited up, and wont budge, so I'm gonna have my step dad try to help me with that
and got the new go pro mount goin vvv

more to come ....

put some heat on those bolts and nuts and that Loctite will break loose :thumb: good deal on getting it done on your own :ride: and if you need help, Mike will make house calls as long as your Mom is home :smirk:
This^^^^^^ In fact, I've been known to toss a bit of heat to my nuts but, I never, and I mean never, add any Locktite.

well got them brackets off with a very ridiculously large wrench

then i took the cylinder head off carefully, don't mind the finger smudge kinda by the center, thats not a scar lol, from your guys experience how does it look?
