Rekluse auto clutch

So I have about half a dessert race season with the rekluse auto clutch on my ktm 250 sx and i must say that I am highly impressed. It turned my motocross bike into a mountain goat! Im still suprised at what my bike will chug up and the nasty trails that it handles no problem. the only problem i have with mine is the older rekluses dont have an option to retain you clutch lever. sometimes coming out of motocross style corners i wish i had one. Rekluse has since fixed this problem with the Z-start pro model. So for anyone who does more than just strictly moto i highly recomend it! go buy one you wont be sorry! for you katoomers out there just make sure you go for the Z-start.

I had a Pro on my 200. It does take a few rides and hill climbs to get the confidence in it that it will do the work for you and slip when it needs to. I kept reachin for the lever on big hills as the motor started to slow, then one time I consciously thot to not touch the clutch and what do u know it worked and slipped as it should and kept pulling.

would this be a good idea for someone like my wife who I want to learn how to ride ? I think she is a bit intimidated by the clutch even tho she has not even rode on her own yet.

i think it would be great for you wife. ive found that it helps me teach people when i take them riding.
It helps ya learn to balance and have good body position first off instead of just stalling all the time.

I'm finding more and more GOOD seasoned riders are moving to the rekluse for trail riding... some call it cheating, some call it technology; I don't have one, but others that do say it's the cat's meow

fewer (or none) stalls... no left hand cramps, and with the pro you can still clutch... It's not high on my list of things to add, but if I bought a bike that already had one, who knows?

I CAN definitely see the attraction for new riders... my wife stalled her tw200 all the time... just one more thing to worry about for her... so I got a new one

uh... not a new wife... I traded her tw for a Wr250F for me... fix me a sammich while I'm off riding woman!!

god I hope she doesn't see this

AN auto clutch You mean it clutches for you ???? No way don't belive you ......This must be a ploy to fool me........ lies all lies

basically a centrifugal clutch... as the engine speed spools up, ball bearings engage the clutch

unless you were being sarcastic

in which case... there is no such thing as an auto clutch... or easter bunny, santa claus, or leprechauns

Did I just ruin somebody's day?
