Haha so I have been trying to convince my other half to ride a 4 wheeler. So we went out with my parents for a little ride and used one of there 4 wheelers. The ride was pretty simple other then the mud climbing the other side. Slicker then snot on a bike but managable. Had to go out threw the brush a few times to get up some hills. But when the 40 mile ride was over she said that it was fun but she wanted a bike. Snapped a couple pictures while we were out. Sorry no bike shots but I see lots more coming now that she said she wants a bike. haha

double edge sword right there. its cool having your other half into riding but at times you might jsut want to go on big boy rides by yourself and if she wants to ride as well it can be an issue

Well she is dark anyways but she is all about keeping herself up. I doubt she will be the type to do that. Heck I could see her being more like the type that loads her truck and leaves me at home. She waits for no one. She said something about me picking up the garage and I said "Sure no problem" Well I must have put it off a little too long cause when I came home......well the only thing that wasn't moved was the motor for the sprint boat.

Yeah it is a pain at times. Ive got wife and two kids, trailer, etc. 6 bikes and guess who gets to do all the work. Wife used to do filters and air oin tires before kids tho. I would be at work on midmites and decide to go ride the next day, she would get the bikes ready. Oh the memories.

Careful Mike. She may just tell you she will work on the bikes and you get the kids ready........ I have no problem working on the bikes!!!

Doesn't riding a quad demand wearing gear too? I've seen the results of some slow tipovers on a quad when least expected...not real pretty! Hate to hear she was hurt because she lacked protective clothing! ...keep it safe!

Oh I don't know. Maybe my family is borning or something but we have road 4 wheelers for 15 years and never had so much as a sprang or scratch from riding them. We are usually to busy looking around to go very fast though. Maybe we are lucky or something but we don't wear any on 4 wheelers. Now the bikes.....I need lots more gear! I have scars, cuts, bruises, etc and I don't even ride that hard. haha (Maybe I just suck and don't know it!)

To each his/her own...When ever leave camp to go on a ride NO ONE leaves without at least a helmet...We have a close friend who flipped her quad on an "unassuming" hill, the bike landed on top of her, the bars hit her face mask...if not for the lid she'd have a gnarly smile! picture this without the 2 front teef...I'd hate to hear something like that happening to a fellow DBA'r....or anyone for that matter. As already mentioned in other threads...the extra wheels can add for false security. JUST SAYIN! there, I'm done!

That's cool Bryce! Hey, a couple that rides together stays together! She may surprise you, maybe overtime she'll get good enough to go on rides/trails that you'd normally only take with your buddies. Not to say you still won't be able to do those trips too. My hub is completely dail-in now... he does bike maintenance, loading up, shopping for trip, food prep and cooking (hopefully, he doesn't read this!!).

Oh god what did I do? Went out yesterday to shoot a bunch of video of the National Hare and Hound Race here and took my lovely lady with me. (She had never been to one) Anyways she desided she wanted to film also. So I break out the HD camera and turn her loose. She set up on a 90 degree corner in a sand wash. The bikes were blowing the corner, crashing in front of her, almost running her over and she just laughed. She shot some killer video I can't wait to get posted and at the end of day you what she said.............

Has she ever ridden a bike before? Might want to get her started trail riding first...and a lot of sand experience to boot. Might want to make sure she has no problem wearing gear......she's gonna need it...
