Engine Coolant - What do you run in your bike?

I just run air. If I am fording a stream I might run water for a bit. I've even used snow before.

Technically I would guess my current coolant of choice is Rotella 15W-40. It never boils over...

Where can I buy that air? Does it come in different grades, or will the 1 air work on anything? Lastly, I'm riding this weekend so I'll need it quick, do you think they can air-mail it to me?

:busted:

Carl you need to get a modern day dirtbike! :prof:

I use Engine Ice in all my bikes now. Since switching I have not had any boil issues with any of them. I added new 1.8 caps to the KTms as well. I like it since you can still put water in it if needed.

You can add water to the evans if in a emergency. It just lowers the boiling point.

NPGR
1/2 gallon 1 gallon 55 gallon drum
Evans NPGR, also known as Race Fluid, is designed to tolerate the intense heat created while racing. It is
recommended to change the coolant at the end of the race season for racing or every other year for
street driven vehicles with a maximum life of three years. NPGR has a thinner viscosity than NPG+ or
NPG so it is easier to flow the coolant through the cooling system. NPGR has maximum heat absorption
capabilities. It is not recommended for cold weather operation.
Boils: 400° @ 0 psi
Protects to: -10° F ********************** I dont ride in -10
Viscosity: 2.0 cp @ 212° F
Surface Tension: 46 dyn/cm

Does anyone know where the radiator cap is on an XR600? This thread reminded me that I have never changed the antifreeze in it and I can't find the cap...or the drain for that matter.
