All Saturday's Ride

DSCN1267.jpgDSCN1271.jpgWent for a ride on Saturday to an area east of California City. Went out for 2 rides and logged on 78 miles. The weather was perfect at 70 degrees and a slight breeze. I love the desert at this time of year and I can't wait to go again. I know you all like pictures or it didn't happen so here are just a couple.

Pictures were from Sunday before, forgot the camera this last Saturday.

That place looks familiar. I'm also thinking about saying screw the bank account, and pay cut, and doing Presidents weekend there. Once I measure my rod freeplay, and jug dimensions tonight, I'll know for sure. I'm dieing to explore more of the area East of the radar tower. Even though it's technically plated only.

We went as far east as we could, I think, and ended up at the fence line to the base. Headed south for a ways and came out on a dirt road with signs saying the area we just came from was a do not enter zone. Never saw any signs the way we went in but that happens a lot out there in the dez, you only know you are not supposed to be where you just came from. Headed west a long way and got in some knarley washes and you can go forever it seems. :thumb:

I guess it would be South then. I've hit that fence you mentioned, found a unlocked gate, and went through. Great riding in there. The sand wash with the ramp, is the area I want explore more of. :thumb:

I might be out in Spangler over Pres Day and RIDING or the weekend after, still not sure yet. KTM530 - Sounds like you had a good couple loops.

So we were right by each other Saturday? We went in a few dirt roads before Cuddeback Rd.
Your son was with you? We'll have to get together one of these times.

Actually my son was not with me this last weekend as it was his mom's weekend to have him. :foul: I was out with a couple of my old time riding buddies. I hate to say it but sometimes it is fun to go riding without the boy. I am free to ride at my pace and don't have to look behind me all the time. :ride: He is a very good rider but small bikes are no match for the big ones and I have a few years experience on him.

Our schedules are flipped, last weekend was mine....this weekend is big boy time

Nice pics and nice Jeep!

The sky looks sooo blue! And an ancient Joshua tree in the back ground. I LOVE it!

I used to have a 1984 CJ7 with HD suspension, Full cage, blah, blah, blah...I miss that thing:cry:
