Recipe and Food Pics thread.

I have one right around the corner...He also buys his beef from a feed lot/processing plant in California (Harris) right off the 5 fwy can't remember exactly where...My dad use to do biz with them back in the day...I was very impressed when I saw it. Nice to know where your meat comes from..:thumb:
Probably Harris Ranch.

Coalinga I think.

That's it...:thumb: I remember going there as a kid with my dad...before they had the airport and maybe the restaraunt...I mainly remember ALL the head honchos drove Jeep Grand Wagoneers (whatever they're called with the wood sides) instead of the huge cars my dads company had him drive...Delta 98's are what they got.

I was just taling about the meat the local butcher (carnaciera) sold, he told me he got it from Harris Ranch which brought back lot's of memories...I haven't bought a lot from them yet nor have I looked/asked for any prime though...will check it out the next time I'm in there. I do know that going to the butcher you can get a much bigger tri tip than you can at the supermarket.

all that stuff looks delicious Travace...for the artichokes is that an aoili(?) you served it with? A restaurant I go to has some really good oak grilled artichokes with an aioli sauce and it's amazing :smirk:

genuine hill-billy recipes.

pizza- needs: 2 peices of bread, butter, shreaded cheese, your favorite pizza sauce, and your favorite toppings.

step 1) butter 1 side of each slice of bread (like you would for grilled cheese)
step 2) add sauce, cheese, and toppings to the un-buttered side of 1 peice of bread
step 3) place other slice of bread on top (like a sandwich)
step 4) fry, and enjoy

apple pie- needs: applesauce, butter, 2 pieces of bread.

step 1) same as for pizza
step 2) same as for pizza accept use only applesauce
step 3 & 4) same as for pizza
