250F Clutch Issues

Today I felt my clutch not all the time feel engaged and it wouldn't neccesarilly take off but I could feel it pull. Should I try a new cable or is it my plates?

It's a process of elimination. Before tearing into the engine make sure that the clutch cable moves freely. Disconnect the ends and see if you can move the cable with your fingers. If the cable is binding then it is time for a new one.

Well I know last time I was messing with it I saw a small fray, but I figured I could make it to winter time. So just disconnect it from each side and pull it to each side?

Like cleo said check the cable first, if it isn't that then open her up and check the plates.

I'll get to that then, maybe tomorrow :thumb: I'm pretty sure it's the cable tho. Could the cable cause the clutch to not fully engage and try to take off while in gear?

Small frey? Replace it before it breaks out on the track or trail...

If the cable is frayed at all, it's time for a new one. They can go from one broken strand to completely broken pretty quickly.
