Why so much mud.

Reminded me of a MX race back in '88. Texas Series race in Natalia, just south of San Antonio. It hadn't rained in nearly a month, so they watered the track for an entire week prior to the race. The day before the race, there was down-pour that dropped nearly 3" of rain. The day of the race, they tilled the track nearly a foot deep. It was necessary to get up enough speed to run on top of the mud and, if you ever let off the gas, you would sink.

We had the bad luck of warm weather. Melting snow and before the dirt bike race was ATV and quad on the same track.
