125 Bogs down after carb replaced

I have a KLX 125L It started up first kick but when I gave it throttle it would bog down . So I assumed it was something with the carburetor and I opened up the carburetor and the seal holding the upper half to the bowl was torn to shit and I replaced the carburetor because the seal kit was five dollars less than the carburetor and now the bike won’t start unless I have full throttle and even when I have full throttle it still runs Shitty. If I release the throttle it bogs out. I’ve messed with the idle screw and didn’t do anything. before I replaced the carburetor it ran better with the air filter taken out still didn’t run good but it ran a little bit better. this is the first bike I’ve owned and worked. I have no idea what else to try any tips? The spark plug is brand new and this carburetor is brand new

While I have had good success with replacement carbs, they will need to be tuned to your specific application.
Do the jets from the old carb fit the new carb?
If not, you'll have to start from scratch to rejet.

Wow. I asked a very specific question. This is not a good first response from you.
Better look up some carburetor theory online, as I'm done helping here.

I’m sorry I read the question backwards. I thought you were telling me to put the old jets into the new carburetor

That was where he was going. If the carbs are the same and it ran better with the older carb (minus the torn upper bowl), than put the jets from the old carb in. Unless they are the same numbers. Maybe swap parts from the new card to the old.

The old jets are preferred because of size ,,, BUT ,,, they have to be clean . Soak in carb cleaner in a small container , run small fine wire , best from a wire brush thru them to be sure .... use gaskets from new carb ....
