Just a guy with alittle knowlege trying to get some very needed help

Got a 94 rm125 rebuilt it bottom and top end new seals new gaskets I got new stator the other one was no good I have put bike back together and can not get a spark for nothing I have checked ohms on stator reads good I have tried to check the AC on stator and pick up that is mounted to stator when I kick it ac for stator I got it up to 17 volts and I'm not getting nothing out of the pick up going to cdi unless I'm doing something wrong if I had to take a ges maybe the pick up is to far away from flywheel I don't know please help.

The pulse generator should also have a resistance through it. It needs to be pretty close to the rotor to pick up the signal.
A pulse generator produces a single instantaneous pulse of 5-12v, I have never detected a pulse with a multimeter.
The manual will have all these specs for testing. -BIG DAN:thumb:

Yes it does test for resistance ohms around 98 and stator is like 24. So is this how it works when I kick the bike to start the volts coming from stator transfor through the tab on flywheel coming in connection with pulsar correct. And if so I got the pulsar almost rubbing now so its close should I move on and check another part.

The stator powers the CDI.
The pulse generator sends a timed pulse to the CDI.
The CDI decides, based on that pulse, when to fire the spark plug.
The Pulse generator and Stator wiring are completely separate in function.

The pulse generator needs to be close, but not too close to touch.

Thank you so much going to go try and see if I get any thing. If all is good I should get some kinda power coming from the cdi wire that goes to ignition coil or does ignition coil have to be plug up for cdi to send a signal to it. If it's just opened ended will it not read anything. Also grounds kill switch is off don't have to worry bout that but as far as the rest of the grounds. Just a good bare place on frame or do certain parts ground out with certain parts sorry , I'm not plum dumb lol and I know it can't be this hard to get a spark I mean I almost rewired my zzr600 but this has me fustrated again thank u for your time.

Did you disconnect the kill switch? Cut a half inch off the plug wire and install a new cap? Check the coil grounds? Check the cdi ground?

Remove and clean coil mounting base and contact surface . Clean all connections for wires . Same for stator and pick up connections and mounting grounds . Other than that , you could check for signal from pickup coil , trigger coil . If there is a signal , check CDI pack ....

Thanks for everyone's help I figured out the problem it was the wiring on the stator. The stator I got was supposed to be a easy swap just unplug the old and plug in the new. From looking at it everything looked to be good they both had same color wires and everything seem to match up. The problem was the wires on the stator where wired backwards. So when plugging into the cdi box I had to swap 2 wires around to do that I just had to change the connectors on the end of those to wires coming from the stator. Once I did that it fired right up. Thanks again
