RM250 Reeds

Anyone recognize these reeds? I was told when I bought the bike they were vforce but I don't seen any markings on them signifying what they are.

I believe those are "37E10's" Jackson:prof: You're welcome in advance:smirk:

I was going to give you some ROOST!!! for stating the obvious but it won't let me:cry:

Now, that you told me the numbers on the side of the cage, how about telling me what the reeds are inside the cage:P

they are in my bike, but I am having a surging Idle problem after I ride for a bit and I thought maybe the reeds are opening and closing. I don't see any cracks but figure maybe they are worn.IDK, I was told by another guy that my bike is just lean on the bottom. I have adjusted the air all the way in until about 1/4 turn before it dies. I have had the needle out till the 2nd clip and I have a bigger than stock jet on the pilot at a 46. I still have this bad surge?? I am thinking the reeds are the problem?? again I don't know.

no, not sure how to tell other than a leak down test and I don't have the equipment or tools to do it. I am only fortunate enough to only have a very very basic set of hand tools.

I really didn't get screwed 1k for an 01 250 in great shape? Plus these were not a selling point to the bike. That is simply what the guy said it had in it...I don't really care if they are stock or not. I was just wandering if anyone could tell me. Thanks, by the way I couldn't find that info on the sites I was looking at.

You can have a stock cage with V force reeds, but the V force reeds are made of carbon fiber and it looks like yours are not. I have the full V force3 cage on my 03 YZ250 and it is worth the upgrade. You get some serious bark off the bottom and it pulls hard all the way through. The reeds do not have to open as far as stock reeds and cages so they last a little longer and you get a quicker response from the throttle.

I am actually thinking I am going to put boysen power reeds in it. I read on all sorts of threads on the other place that you get more bang for your buck from Boysen reeds? IDK. I first have to get this stupid solenoid fixed on it that runs the power valve.. again 01 is the bastard of rm's:rant:

I also have the V Force3's on my yz250:thumb: but it came with it so i don't know what kind of difference it makes, I like the way it runs tho I like riding my yz250 over my wr400 in most cases prolly cuz its newer and has better suspension :smirk:
