I have had 70,000 absolutely trouble-free miles in Southern California. I expect another 70K without issue. One of the best new cars I've owned.My mate has one of those kia's
Reports say these are one of the worst cars to own in the snow. I can imagine your area activating it's 'bitch mode.'

Took the Jeep out for a highway test run, after swapping from a 4.2L and AX15 5-speed transmission to a 4.0 HO and AW4 auto transmission. It rides great. Can't wait to hit the trails this weekend!
