Sounds good. What conditions are you putting the bike through that it needs a radiator upgrade? Currently overheating every ride? -BIG DAN:thumb:

My 4 stroke Beta boils bit time on the truly tough tech trails. I've even had it boil going down the mountain. If I can get into second gear so there is some air flow it's not an issue. It's those prolonged 1st gear with clutch slippage really slow going sections that make it boil. I added a fan I harvested from an old computer server and it's never boiled since. It might not be water proof like a real bike fan, but it was free and I have several spares.

Like has already been said, if you don't have boiling issues you don't need it.

So far I haven't had one that has boiled when I had the "right" cap on it, and didnt have a leak somewhere that let me lose pressure. My cr500's and kx500's included. Funny how my low tuned klr 650 always has the fan on when I get to stop and go traffic though. I have been putting the Evans coolant in everything. Maybe this weekend I will have it in the KLR and see how much the fan comes on with it.

did u mount it front or back of the rad

To the back. It is a 120mm fan and it fit perfectly. Used zip ties to attach it.

The fan I'm using is not a $2 computer case fan. I don't remember off hand but it costs around $35 new and flows 150 CFM(cubic feet per min).
