New here

Yeah, I got pretty far away from Coalinga. Growing up there was not so bad. I could walk out my front door and go shooting, or roll the bike off the porch and go riding. Can't do that anymore. Like a lot of kids you grow up thinking that the world ends on the other side of the city limits. I moved to SLO to finish college, after graduation from the hs known as West Hills Commnunity College, and moved to Alaska right after graduation from Poly (1974). The first move to SLO kind of woke me up to what I had been missing. By then I had been racing two years and had been all over the western part of the states, well actually back to Lousiana. Alaska was just beginning the heavy build portion of the pipeline then, and I said I would give it two years :-).

Thanking you guys again for the greetings.
Welcome to the forum, old guy.

Mike said he "got out" never said he graduated. :prof:
I don't know how it used to be when Mike was young, but now to get into LE you have to have a HS Diploma, or they really look on.
so you're saying he quit in the 9th grade :smirk:
The funny thing is, my wife being from Germany only had to go to the 9th grade. That is when they graduate out. I could have gone for that, the last three is just seeing how many chicks you can have fun.
