I did that last week.
I did that last week.
Ordered an IMS 4gal natural tank for it and fired her up, still doing the same thing dying after a little bit but my buddy and I are gonna go through the carb and motor before my first race in 6 years February 2nd!

Good thing he was only 300 yards from the truck.
this means no High Desert ride tomorrow, no time to get two bikes prepped.
We troubleshot on the trail, but without proper electrical testing equipment, it was just wasted time. Found a sturdy hose that had been dumped, and away we went! Dad didn't have much trouble towing, but i ran him through quite a few bushes apparently!

Good times, but sorry to hear about the trouble. Moose racing makes a tow strap that attaches to the handlebar for cheap ($12) or so. Good to have on hand for just these circumstances.Took my dad out for his first desert ride! He was excited and loved all the views. Took him out to see the lake bed, the labyrinth, some burned out houses, and the obscene dumping that occurs in the strangest parts of the desert. He ate it up. About a 25 mile loop.
2 seconds onto the dry lake bed and he's in top gear racing away from us. Still just a kid at 53, I guess. He was impressed with the YZ250's gusto. So was I, to be honest. Anyways, A great day all together.
Last trail back to the house, and the YZ gives up the ghost and all spark is lost.We troubleshot on the trail, but without proper electrical testing equipment, it was just wasted time. IT 175, my brother's steed for the day. Ran flawlessly BTW, except for the high speed WOT pinging.

Little trailside troubleshooting. That's his jacket on the front fender... didn't believe me he'd be sweating after 4 whoops.

Didn't you just buy that bottom recently? Sucks to hear it went out, yz's are usually super reliable.Pulled P841 Jr. Jr.'s YZ250 motor.
Rod bearing gone!
New bottom and top Wiseco kit on the way.
Needed a couple tools also so a RMMC order was in order.
Photos tomorrow to follow.
