Is there any doubt in your mind that the "crack" on the inside wasn't cut?
-BIG DANNo. A crack has a jagged edge as the metal finds the weakest point to follow.
This obviously has material displaced uniformly on both sides as if a blade removed the material.
I think it was the reason for the crack.
This was 100% cut by a blade.

OK, those photos have CRACK written all over them. Weird how the first photos show such a different angle giving it a straight cut look.
It's just cracked. I can't explain that one photo, but these show the jagged edges I was referring to.
