At his level a 85 CR250 might actually be better than a yz125, if those are his only options. Even if it is a marketing ploy, the kid can ride, plus that's one of the best marketing things I've ever scene. Heck he has guys from across the pond cheering him on.

just imagine busting your ass to make it to lorettas and having someone get way more attention then you just because he chose to do it with an old bike (for media attention) when he can clearly afford a newer one. I can understand why some would be upset over it.

I agree. Like I said, I can (although not necessarily agree) see where the others are coming from.

The best way is to win, that will get you more attention than what bike you ride.
