All The I wish it were cooler pre Tday Cal City I can't wait to ride Labor Day thread.

All right, for all the peeps that can't wait for the cooler weather, here is an option: A bunch of me and my peeps want to go to the dez for Labor Day and everybody is welcome. We plan to get there (at least some of us) Friday afternoon and stay till Monday morning.:banana: Our plan is to stay at the top (northern most portion) of Esse in Cal City. We hope to ride early and then watch movies, play LCR and dominoes for the rest of the hot portion of the day. Bring your rigs, your frosty beverages and your downright happy attitude with you. All are welcome. Takers?:ride:

I will be floating in the boat at Parker, looking at hotties, then starring at you sweating on each other...:moon:

DId you mean to add "I'd rather be"....:smirk:
I'll rephrase; "I will be staring at half or semi-naked hotties at the river while enjoying a cool breavage and listening to music and not thinking about you DBA'ers stuffed in a RV or trailer fondling each other...:moon:"

There is that better?:smirk:

Before the desert protection act (yea I'm old) I would camp out in the New York Mtns at about 5800 feet. That is now the East Mojave preserve. It was cool enough even in the summer as long as it wasn't a heat wave or something. No single track or anything, but hey you could still get out there.

I've also camped at the microwave towers up above Dove Springs. That is about 6200 feet. It's usually liveable up there. These days if I'm going to the trouble of something like that I just head up into the Piutes.
