69 VW Bug - Project

That's a CB head, the cylinders we pulled off the same engine measured 90.5 if I remember correctly. Nothing crazy but not bad for our dune buggy :rocker:
90.5mm pistons X 69mm Crank =1776 not a bad street motor. 90.5 are good for the street because you will have lower head temps in traffic, etc. A lot of people use 94mm pistons for street for better performance which will make a 1915cc motor with a 69 mm crank:prof:

Hard take take pics of on my wall, this was my VW drag car that was on the cover of VW Trends Mag. We raced in Super Street Class held the record in the class for 3 years at 10.21ET 128.3MPH :hail: The motor made 308 hp just before we sold it so I could buy my house. The car went to Japan and is still being ran there. Motor was a 2443 88mm stroke X 94mm pistons it had a custom made roller cam which I made the roller lifters for. I also designed & built the 62MM Terminator Carburetors (later outlawed in NHRA Pro Stock) There was no radio in this car it was all business just going straight & fast.:rocker:

I also had a street bug that ran Mid 12's in the quarter that had a radio:smirk: See if I can find some pics of it.
10 second bug! Dang, that is badarse to the power of eleventeen-hundred:thumb:
