What Are Some Ways to Strengthen Bones?

get some muscle, ever notice how football players rarely ever break any bones? Beef up a little and that will help alot
Football is what I'd consider an impact sport, where the primary goal is "impact", not endurance. I don't deny that it would help but "bulking up" isn't part of my goals.
You want to be in shape but lean, cycling is the best exercise for riding.

Arm pump is an issue of cardio fitness, relaxation, technique and nerves. Don't freakin smoke, that will shut down your veins too.

Can you do something like a farmer's carry? where you just carry heavy stuff around in your hands(like 2 buckets full of heavy stuff). It would put a little force on your shoulders without making the joint move--just stress them a bit to stimulate the beefing up, and it's great for grip strength. When you can do them, pushups and chin ups would be a great thing too.
:thumb: Sounds good but I'm not supposed to lift anything for another month or so. :bonk: But when I get the ok I'll try this.
I know someone who does not like to eat meat all that much, and does not like milk. Otherwise a healthy lifestyle. Still has a broken leg 9 months after is was supposed to be healed. You need protein.

If you don't like what I am typing please ask your doctor, or an even higher authority: google
I do eat a lot of meat and I'm also taking protein. Please don't tell me that you were offended by me saying that I don't like milk. Since I don't drink milk I've started taking the calcium supplements.
Obviously there's a story behind this...................:noidea: Please tell us...enquiring minds want to know!

Muscle is still good--there is a guy in our town who owns a auto mech shop, and also is ex-special forces and teaches martial arts--so he is one of those lean-VERY strong freakin animal kind of guys. He was working on a car and it went into gear all by itself(a Cherokee I think) and it pinned him to a cement pillar. It took awhile to get him out, but he broke his pelvis, ribs, all sorts of lacerated/bruised organs etc. Seriously a lesser man would have DIED--he had a moment to brace himself for impact and his muscles/fitness saved him. He was walking in a month, and recovered very quickly because of his conditioning(and will). A body firing on all cylinders is a magical thing!:prof:

I'm not disagreeing with that, it just isn't in my best interest to really bulk up because of the sport I'm in. Like Trav said "all the fast guys out there are skinny *****". I do need to add some muscle though, just not bodybuilder levels.:P
