I ride a 2007 YZ250F, all track. First year riding...or should I say, first couple months? Here in Alaska, we only have 3-4 months of summer where the ground isnt covered by snow, and I dont have a snowmachine, so I ride as much as possible, as does everyone else here.Hey Johnny, welcome to DBA.
So what kind of bike do you have? You ride track and/or trails?
Hahaha its true that there is tons of open space and land up here, and most people actually have private tracks...built by bobcats and if u feel so inclined you are welcome to freeze your arse off here and ride with us folk lol.Welcome Johnny Know of any good claims I could work up there? I was thinking about buying a badarse Bobcat and coming up there to film a little Goldrush of my own.
Do you guys actually have a race series or is it just mostly riding on other people's private tracks?I ride a 2007 YZ250F, all track. First year riding...or should I say, first couple months? We have a racing series. Its not quite as unorthodox as I may have made it sound, lol. Many people really do have private tracks, but most people wont let you ride there, because they're...well, private. There is basically one public track in each major city. The most popular motocross organization up here is the Anchorage Racing Lions Motocross. It is named after the city of anchorage (largest city in Alaska, where I live) and they maintain most of those public tracks. You have to pay to join, but then you can participate in organized races on groomed tracks. we have a racing series for quite a few cities (anchorage, kenai, fairbanks, etc.) and a State series, with the races for the state series being held in various cities.Do you guys actually have a race series or is it just mostly riding on other people's private tracks?
