Hey guys,
I’m considering buying this Kawasaki KMX 125 2-stroke. The owner says it hasn’t been ridden much lately, and that the carb might just need cleaning or slight adjustment.
I took a look at this startup video and noticed what sounds like a bit of a high-pitched rattle or metallic noise – not sure if that’s normal for this bike or a sign of a deeper issue.

He claims it starts from the third kick after long storage, runs well when warmed up, and pulls fine once adjusted.
Any thoughts on the sound? Is it risky, or does it sound typical for an older 2-stroke like this?

Thats tough to diagnose without being there. I hear the rattle as well.
Seems to idle just fine.
That would be a tough one for me unless the price was right.
