Quick ride on the Wee, Palmer, I was in your hood!

So, I had some free time today so I took the Wee out for a spin to see how it liked dirt. They were just forest service roads, but still dirt. Here's some pics from the ride.
Heading out towards the canyon

Got through the little town of Silverado and started going up the paved section of the service road.

Posers, you AND the burro! :smirk:

until i met palmer i never knew about this little nook of the earth. its a neat little place :thumb:

it reminds me of how chino hills use to be back in the 80's

Well, well, well. You making a new documentry, there and back? :smirk: Nice steed!
Sure looks greener than I rememberd last saturday. We just got some good rain last night and this AM, so I hope the gate stays open. Oh, and I need to replace my chain on the old 450, she blew off just around the corner from three sisters and I got towed 1/2 mile, called my wife and coasted all the way down to the first water crossing by the gate before she showed up. I guess chains dont last longer than 6700 miles.

Never been down to that Silverado area but you make it look enticing. Nice report.

Cooks Corner is right around the corner for you Harley guys. A lot of weekend wannabes are there every weekend. More chrome in the parking lot than I ever seen.

Hmmm. So that is Silverado area. Stupid me I guess as I have been to Cooks many times in the past. Last time I was down there was a couple years ago and yes it was indeed packed with people and bikes. Nice area but I did not know there was any dirt bike riding around there. Looks to me like the housing developments are quickly taking over.

Our bigest property in Silverado could have been a nice set of 36 houses on 4+ acres but no, some actavist ass whipes in silverado fought for years but lost in the end. The developer was so pissed he sold the property to the catholics and they will be building a new all boys abby. GREAT! We could have had estate houses and now we get this!!!! Not that I don't enjoy the catholics I just think houses would have been better for our area and property values. Just try and stop them from breaking ground stupid Silverado Actavist Ass Whipes. :banghead:

I need to check that place out. Both Silverado and Cook's Corner. I have heard of them both for years. I need to load up the SM and check that area out.

Nice reporting and pics, including that burrito:thumb:
