RM125 Question about my 93 rm125

I recently bought a 93 rm125. Guy told me it needed a top end Bike was cheap so why not. Anyway I’m breaking down motor and I see what appeared to be a break in the cylinder head. Then a buddy tells me it’s not broken. Can I get some opinions please. Thank you very much. Attached is some pics. 94784EC2-3045-47F0-80B2-774034938DF6.jpeg

Pretty sure that good, or at least not a break. Looks like scratches.
Unless I'm looking at the wrong thing :noidea:
Can you feel it with your finger nail?
If so you might want to hone it or refinish it.
Not sure if thats Nicacyl or not not so maybe honing it isn't the answer.
I'm not too familiar with plating on those old bikes, but there are a couple old-school Zook guys here that will probably chime in shortly.

It’s not broken! If you’re referring to the white machined out areas it’s just messy factory machining! It’s not within the cylinder so all good as far as I can see!

Those edges have been chipped. Not a big deal. Smooth them out with a dremel and send out the cylinder to Powerseal USA.
