2 Stroke plugs fowling

If you do a lot of trail riding you gotta blow your carb out and clean off the cylinder of excess gas. Hold the clutch and whack the throttle to clean it out. I have fouled many plugs myself its a pain in the ass. I changed the jetting a lot and religiously clean my air filter every ride. And remember 2 stroke are meant to be ridden at high RPMs, not to be chugged around, really get on that throttle! Run the top end in between trail rides. I use mine KX250 for hillclimbing, redline and hit the power band all the time, never foul spark plugs. Jetting is a HUGE part of 2 stroke, dial that baby in!

dirty air filter, rings worn out, jetting way off, float level too high, could be lots of things

History of the bike? Last rebuild? Like mike said jetting, dirty filter, check your pipe for clogged up carbon etc. Last time the silencer was packed?l

Yep, yep!

So to ask the important questions again...

When was the engine last rebuilt?
Have you cleaned the carburetor and set the float?
How do the reeds look?
What is the compression reading?
Is the air filter clean?
when was the silencer packed last?
Cheap gas and stile 2cycle oil
That is completely fine.

I use Bel ray oil and NGK plugs... I would suggest rejetting sounds like you are running way too rich do you have a lot of spooge coming out of your silencer?

Theres a good amont of spooge comeing out of the front of the head

To much back pressure....
Pull the pipe and silencer
Pull the silencer apart and get a torch and burn all the oil and goo off of the honeycomb, scrub with wire brush, repack silencer, and re-assemble.
Chamber is next: Torch that sucker and burn all the oil and goo out of it, install new O-rings.
Reinstall the pipe and silencer.
While you have it off and doing that... Go to TT (ThumperTalk) <sorry DBA...
Look up the Yamaha Two Stroke forum and there is a "pinned" at the top with all the info you gobble up on Jetting, Timing, Spoog, etc.

So could any one tell me why my rm250 fowels plugs so much road for about to hours today bike road great except for it wont idle put it away and went back to her 4 hours later and it poped twice then there was nothing changed plug and it started right up

My bet is that you have float problems that could probably fixed for free by just setting it correctly. At any rate until you know for sure that it set right any jetting and tuning can just be considered pissing in the wind.
