oil leaking

After ripping around the yard w my 08 Yz 250f I pulled it into the garage and all of a sudden I had oil leaking from somewhere causing the motor to smoke but I still had power. There no oil on the top of the motor. My question is where would the oil be leaking from?

is the smoke coming out of the muffler or rolling off the actual engine? If its coming out of the exhaust you probably have bad valve seals or rings
if its rolling off the engine, its likely something like a valve cover gasket.

You can usually find things like that if you clean your bike pretty thoroughly. Tank off and scrub brush and rag etc after rides finds those things before they become weekend killers.
