This year the family and I decided to finally meet up with some parents we talk to at our kids school in Ocotillo Wells this year. All i knew was that he rides a quad. it was a huge gamble but paid off. met a lot of really good people that live near us and they have kids our kids age that go to the same school. So we followed them out and ended up off pole line. The area is pretty fun to ride and they had a spot set up next to a cool little track for all of the kids.
Here is a pic of our little spot and the kid riding while his friends and little sister watch.
I think he learned more from watching these other kids (who can ride pretty good) then i have been telling him for months.
the kid
he was riding up to other kids and saying "lets race" even tho they been passing him all day
then he would take off before they even start
even my daughter got to ride something solo for her first time. she was way too scared to ride the dirtbike cause it was kind of sandy around so i didnt push it.
first ride was a short one not far from camp just playing around with the guy who invited me out who rides a quad. so the next day i took him and his wife down campbell wash cause i figure that the sand would be like heaven for a quad rider he got a flat and still couldnt stop ranting about how fun it was.. on top of that after he watched me play around on some small ridgelines that he couldnt go on he said " i want a dirtbike now " i hope he is converted
at one point i got to sneak away for a solo ride to look for the fire hydrant and ridgelines. so grabed the SPOT let the wife know how long i would be and off i went. first spot on the map i tried was it i was back at camp in a hour but a couple of these unknown spots in this video i was kinda sketched about being solo. nothing was too bad tho.
enjoy
