250F Magneto voltages

Yes, you are right. It is DC, what I have measured. I forgot to say, the meter is connected to an ac/dc rectifier.

I'll just use 2 resistors (4k and 6k) to get the voltage lower.

It seems difficult to get a stabilised voltage unless using a battery or some super-capacitors. I have changed plans. I 'll use a small removable battery for powering up a control panel that features an hour meter, two temperature gauges and some temperature switches that trigger some alarms and can start a 10w fan.

This is not really something that is necessary to have, but I just like gauges and buttons.
The battery will be removable to reduce the risk of fire.
The hour-meter starts after powering up the panel but an automatic start/stop would be more convenient. That would require a custom circuit that is activated by the bike coil voltage.
