Turns out there is a lot more parts needed to lift a 2000 KX 65 to be like the current models than any forum ever mentioned.
Necessary parts:
Longer forks
2002+ swingarm (parts fisch doesn't show it)
2002+ rear shock (or modify old one, not noted on parts fisch)
2002+ linkage set
5" longer front brake line
